ICT for Users
These courses cover a wide range of skills that most people need to be able to make the best use of computers in the workplace and at home.
The
courses teach you how to use computer
applications for a variety of everyday tasks
including Internet and email; word processing and
typing; spreadsheets and computerised accounting;
presentations; desk top publishing; databases;
digital image manipulation and graphics; website
design.
Our introductory courses start at Level 1
which is the most suitable starting point for people
who do not have any prior knowledge of
computing. Intermediate and advanced courses up
to level 3 are available for people wishing to
progress or gain nationally recognised qualifications
to help with employment.
ICT Technical
These courses cover basic, intermediate and
advanced technical skills required for employment in
the IT industry.
Sheffield City Council is a
certified Microsoft IT Partner and an accredited CISCO local Networking Academy- worldwide leaders in
operating systems, server environments and
networking for the Internet. We also offer CompTIA
vendor-neutral certification that is an internationally
recognised measure of competency in various
technical and professional IT skills.
All these
courses are offered at Red Tape Central in state of
the art technical labs, workshops and teaching
facilities.
